Lacking Discretion
It was the evening peak hour at around quarter past six at the Punggol Field branch when a lady staff was replenishing the shelves with liquor and drinks in the middle of a queue. To make matters worst, she positioned the trolley of packet drinks that could hardly fit the aisle right in the center of it. She ended up in unfriendly exchanges with customers as one has to be as skinny as a needle to squeeze through that trolley. At one point, she blamed the queuing customer behind her for not letting her know that he was in the queue. How ludicrous can one get?!? It would appear that she was venting her frustrations on bewildered customers when it could be avoided. Why choose to refill the shelves during the peak period and right in the middle of the queue with a trolley that literally blocked the entire passageway?!? Could the supervisors advise her to exercise some discretion, please?

Rude staff at Potong Pasir Branch
I was paying for my items at the cashier and I wanted to buy a packet of cigarette. I was told I have to go to another cashier to buy the cigarette, so I ask if I can take the cigarette from another cashier and pay together with my other items. She told me’cannot’!!! I was so confused, ask to speak o a manager or supervisor and she ask me to go to the other cashier counter. I went and was rudely told off by the cashier to go back to the same cashier where my items were. Their attitude was atrocious to the core!!! I went back and saw a guy who was the supervisor Ah Kwang. I ask him why I can’t pay my cigarette and liquor together. He said it’s the LAW!! I shop at the Bishan St 22 branch and I can pay liquor and cigarette together. He says he dont know but the LAW says Potong Pasir Branch cannot. I guess I have to check with the relevant government department to see if this is true.

Long waiting time just to buy 1 pack of ciggerets.
The cashiers are pretty slow in service in the Woodlands branch. There are only 3 counters operating and only 1 counter is for ciggerets sales. As for other super markets u can purchase ciggerets from any counters even when the ciggerets are located in 1 central place. This will ease the flow of queues. Rather than queuing up just to buy 1 pack of cigerets in the super long queue.

Required Improvement for the cashier
This was time-consuming for the residents who are living nearby the Sembawang Crescent due to a lack of cashiers.

This is a required improvement for the additional cashier counter & self kiosk counter open in the morning at the Sembawang Crescent branch (Blk 361). Most of every morning, it is always full of people is queuing up for payment and only two cashier counter is opening out of 4 counters. Was being told by the staff the reason for two self-kiosk counters is not open every morning is because this Sembawang branch does not have sufficient manpower resource.

Wondering the purpose to have two self-kiosk counters but not open every morning due to lack of manpower.

Rude Cashier "Pei Li" @ Potong Pasir Branch
I have been shopping with Ang mo since day one of opening. The above cashier has been getting from bad to worst. Initially she never has eyes contact nor greet customer. Now, she not only don't Greet nor nob she even argue with customers. The management of Ang mo, please kindly do your own observation before Lossing more customers. Now your have two big friendly competitor near-by that gives atas service. For your information,some of my family members have stop visiting your outlet. Soon I will follow if no improvement. Good luck Ang mo !

Overcharge
I was at the Bishan Shop this morning at 11.30 am. I bought two packs of egg but the cashier charged three..

I am not sure whether she purposely,any way this is very bad to overcharge customer for nothing !

Racist cashier anti Chinese.
Just went to this bullshit supermarket at Potong Pasir. Was met with a guy infront of me cutting queue ,I merely asked the cashier why he can cut queue, she replied me bluntly his things are here. After greeting that man thanking him, I paid for my stuff, she gave me that reluctant face, while I was putting back my change, she greeted the customer behind me . Well and well.... Greeting forms good customer service , but being neutral and compose is another. Both customers are non Chinese , and here I am treated like a bloody fool , most hilarious thing is a Chinese treating a Chinese badly in a prejudice and rascist manner. Singapore was all along , minorities accusing the Chinese as racist and posted numerous incident and expressions, even non Chinese minister is siding on , that is fair , however why the Chinese when treated unfairly and for obvious rascism has to be quiet.

Worse thing I ever think I would met is even in this supermarket just for buying eggs. How ridiculous.

Unreasonable service staff
Venue : Blk 85 Toa Payoh Ang mo branch.
Date : 8 jan 630pm.
Took a plastic container of love letters and the container dropped on the floor. The packing staff there immediately chided me and told me to pay for it. I refused and insisted to speak to the manager who was out for dinner at 7pm.
The main cause of the drop is the plastic handle being poorly moulded and it doesn’t fit. The staff did not even check and insisted I pay for it.
Really unreasonable.

Terrible service
Once NTUC opens at Canberra Plaza, Ang Mo will lose a ton of business. Terrible and inflexible customer service. Don't ever buy things from them or even visit them.

Their Nescafé / SUPER coffee are sourced from God knows where, always hardened up powder. I would much rather walk further away to buy from another supermarket at a higher price. Cheap prices, but lousy products at Ang Mo.

Poor service cashier
22/10/20 at 693 woodlands ave 6 time 20:15, I approached to counter 1 as no customer, cashier named may kneeled down without aware of me at counter, I placed hardly my stuffs to alert cashier but no respond. Then I voiced out "hello" to her, she stood up with black face without greet, after transaction she rudely said"5cents balance!" , I were stunt of her attitude, she gave me the receipt without saying thank you to me. I feedback to the store supervisor, he heard of this incident and said will talk to this poor attitude cashier.

Packed Egg Always got cracked egg inside the packaging
I stay at Sembawang Close, I often go to 361 Sembawang Crescent Ang Mo Supermarket to buy eggs and vegetables. Already discovered few times the packed egg after purchased bring home when open the packaging, the egg will have one or two cracked. Already feedback to the cashier but seems like no body care to check the eggs quality. It is very unfair to the consumers especially the senior citizen bought it and can’t consume the eggs. Ang Mo management please investigate why packed eggs is not handled properly? Thanks

No safe distancing no separate entrance and exit at Ang Mo Supermarket Toa payoh Lor 4 #01-353
I patronise this outlet at 10.59am this morning served by JYYYen. I told a few customers to safe distance of one metre. I was ridiculed by customers becos yr cashier was nt bothered to exercise her authority legitimately. Pointless to hv yr announcement abt distanciing continously blaring away and no stafff to ensure customers adhere to rule of law. I hv observed this for a mth oreadi. Plz do something b4 paying unnecessary penalty, nt worth. Tks for noting.

The lady who scan the customers her attitude is so bad and rude. Always argue with customers. If not happy don't work. Will never buy things from then any more.

Shopping my groceries at Ang Mo Supermarket in Potong Pasir
I buy from there few avocadoes which is not ripe. To my surprise, the fruits turn bad and cannot eat at all.Please see the photo.
Please look into this matter as it will bring bad image of Ang Mo Supermarket.

Poor attitude
Daily and oftenly shopped at Admiralty new shop, the packers and cashiers all in black face mood. Especially today the staff aunty at weighing machine vegetables department chatted gossips loudly with time off singlong staff and one female customer, commented of one Philippine customer rude manner. This kind of attitude at working hour is not right. Cashiers at self payment kiosk with no smile, no customer service reaction too. Very disappointed of your staffs at this shop. The corridor two male uncle staffs kept chatting when at work. It is because there no store manager around so they can have their own sweet time.
