Company description
Many US producers have led customers thru the costing models, noting freight, quality, material variations, in transit losses, increased need for documentation and communications and increased management costs plus much more. Most guys will compete on an apples to apples basis, but quotes must be detailed for many to see the problems and the spreadsheets done for the purchaser to see the differentials.

Plastic Mould Manufacturer is a leader among moldmakers. Our main focus is creating the highest quality products. Plastic Mould Manufacturer is a china injection mold company located in Shenzhen. Our company concentrates on mold design and mold manufacture. The main products are Plastic Injection Molding, Injection Molded Parts and Custom plastic parts.

Our company quoted building a
Show more tool 2 weeks ago and our price was $32,000 when the China price came in they were only $4,000 less (this was specifying that they use the same quality components as us). By the time you add on shipping you jump another $2,000-$3,000. In addition to the shipping you have time delays in communication, proper communication, hoping they do everything correct, shipping time, etc, etc... The inherent costs are ridiculous. Companies do not consider this, they simply look at mold cost to mold cost. It doesn't make sense and I am glad that some are finally figuring that out.

As a Chinese moldmaker,I have talked about this topic with one of my American partners, yes,he found the cost in China has raised those year, while he told me that the quality and effcient has improve as well .while, anyway, it's a problem for our cooperation, then we discuss how to low the cost ,so we discuss the molds, as Chinese standard and skillful technical to build the molds is really a big discount(eg, an USD8000 mold ,in Chinese standard would be USD4000-5000),because Chinese product is always share a good reputation ,yes,we focus on the product ,the shrinkage, the surface artistic and other factors ,then we make a nearly USD20,000 deal. Which it's helpful for Chinese and USA partners .Of course, it suits the small parts and the quantity should be make sure big enough, anyway, Chinese factory should living on the products.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Truth be told, there aren't bad machines out there any more. Look for good local service. Energy savings features cost $ but will pay for themselves - you might be able to afford more machine than you think if you look at total cost of ownership. Experience with your material and application by the builder is always a plus. You should get a lot of good offers in this market.

The most important is service that is readily available and personel that know what they are doing. If you consider buying injection moulding machines you should at least get the advice of your processing personel. They will have to live and work with the chosen machines, so their input (my point of view) is critical. here in Quebec, we have chosen Engel, 1 service, 2 reliability. Our decission to go with Engel was, we already had 9 machines, local service and our processing people where confortable with the machines and controller. It might be a regional thing.

Another way to go is the used market. You can find some nice prices and a lot of machine quality, if you are patient. One of the best all purpose machines in the market for years was the Van Dorn with the Pathfinder control. It was the only controller with a feed-forward loop, in addition to the closed loop control. And they (DPG) are still quite active in the aftermarket business. They came out (recently) with a new controller to retrofit on their solid, albeit not flashy, machines. There are many very large conglomerates that would order Van Dorns by the 10s and 50s in the late 90s and early 2000s.
