What began in 2011 as Bettr Barista - a provider of specialty coffee education with a social mission at its core, has grown and developed over the years into The Bettr Group. Having expanded from a home-grown specialty coffee company based in Singapore, The Bettr Group encompasses a training academy, retail products, events services, and social impact programmes.

The Bettr Group currently comprises:

Bettr Coffee Company - an ISO 22000-certified coffee roastery, an events arm offering full-service mobile coffee experiences, sustainably sourced coffee products as well as retail bars serving coffee to the community.

empower vulnerable groups via a proprietary Bettr Holistic Training Programme developed around coffee. This 4-month vocational programme focuses on marginalised women and youth-at-risk, arming them with professional expertise and life management skills that help pave the way for long-term careers in the specialty coffee industry.

With every Bettr cup of coffee, you’re helping to change lives by supporting our social initiatives, including:

-Nurturing direct trading relationships with our partner farms to optimise the commercial benefit to these farmers and their extended communities
-Running vocational programmes and micro-enterprise opportunities for marginalised groups in Singapore
-Reducing our carbon footprint by repurposing and recycling materials that go into our coffee operations, and using compostable/biodegradable/recyclable serveware

We also won the 2017 President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Of The Year award, having bagged the Social Enterprise Start-Up Of The Year award in 2013.
The Bettr Group is Singapore's first certified B Corporation, joining the ranks of over 2,900 B Corps across more than 150 industries in 60 countries. B Corps are unified by one common goal: to redefine success in business and use it as a force for good.

The Bettr Group was a Best For The World (Community) Honouree in 2016, 2017 and 2018, putting it in the top 10 percent of all B Corps on the Community portion of the B Impact Assessment - which evaluates a company’s supplier relations, diversity, involvement in the local community, and its practices and policies around the social issues that it works to solve.
