Each of the New Majestic's 30 rooms will be different, from the mix of vintage and designer furniture through to the customized baths. Room highlights include suites with private gardens, attic style rooms with loft beds in six-meter high ceilings. There will be a mix of four key types of design rooms: 4 Special Room Types: The Mirror Room The Hanging Bed Room The Aquarium Room The Loft Room5 Design Concept Rooms As a highlight within the hotel, New Majestic will also feature five room personalized by top creative individuals from unique disciplines. Each of the personalities have been given free-rein over their individual rooms - from flooring selection, to color of walls, and personalized interior decoration. These special concept rooms will be a tribute and showcase of Singapore's creativity and design vision to international media and visitors. Housed within the New Majestic Hotel will be the Majestic Restaurant, featuring Cantonese cuisine by internationally renowned, award-winning owner-chef Yong Bing Ngen.The Chef Formerly the Executive Chinese Chef at the Hai Tien Lo restaurant in Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore and Chef De Cuisine of the Raffles Hotel Singapore for the Empress Room and Doc Cheng's, Chef Yong was also the Executive Chef for Jade restaurant in Fullerton Hotel.The talented and celebrated Chef has garnered many prestigious awards including his most recent recognition as the 2004-2005 Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards Chinese Cuisine Chef of the Year.The Cuisine The cuisine is modern Cantonese served on individual plating.The Majestic will serve all dishes on its extensive collection of chic handmade and customized chinaware. This modern Chinese restaurant also has a 2000 bottle wine cellar boasting some of Singapore's best wines.The Decor The decor of the restaurant is radically different and sheds all conventions of a traditional Chinese eatery. The restaurant seats 100, and has four private rooms, one of which will be a VIP private chef's table.Guests can either choose to dine in ambient privacy in the private rooms or in the main dining hall where there are "pool views" via ceiling portholes that look up into the Majestic swimming pool. The Majestic restaurant will also feature a full display kitchen, a first in Singapore for a fine-dining Chinese eatery. Two circular corner Banquette booths create an intimate dining experience within the main hall.With its internationally-acclaimed chef at the helm, a menu that blends the traditional with the creative, and progressive designer decor, the new Majestic Restaurant promises to be a unique and innovative dining experience!
